Rigg House B&B

Rigg House B & B is a charming 18th century farmhouse situated in the Kirkconnel Hills near the village of Kelloholm, 5 miles from Sanquhar. Family-run, the house benefits from outstanding views across the Upper Nith Valley and the hilltops beyond. The local area is a haven for outdoors activities and sightseeing opportunities.

The Harris Suite, in its own wing, sleeps 2 or 3, with dual-aspect windows, a double bed, single and en suite bathroom. The Brodie Suite is a family room for 3 or 4, decorated in tartan; with a double, single and sofa bed, and en suite bathroom. The Thistle Suite has a double and single bed plus en suite shower room. The Klee Room has a single bed and private bathroom. All rooms have TV and a hospitality tray. A cooked breakfast is included.

Owners Jay and Alice are happy to recommend great places for walking, mountain biking, cycling and more. Locally, Drumlanrig Castle and estate offers fishing, mountain biking and tours of the castle and gardens. Wanlockhead is fantastic for walking or cycling and has a narrow-gauge railway and mining museum. There is a ruined castle and tolbooth museum at Sanquhar, and just up the road, is the Crawick Multiverse art installation.
