Nestled on a private estate on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, Cairnsmore Cottages are 2 sensitively converted Grade B listed buildings offering excellent self-catering holiday facilities. The cottages are charming and retain many of their original characterful features as a part of the former stables and coach houses situated within a quadrangular cobbled courtyard on Cairnsmore Estate.

Tackroom Cottage is a cosy cottage for 2, featuring a lounge with dining area, kitchen, snug room, elegant bedroom with Edwardian double bed and separate dressing room and a bathroom. Stable Cottage sleeps 4, with a lounge featuring a wood burning stove, kitchen, double bedroom, twin room, luxurious bathroom and garage for storing bikes and equipment. There is underfloor heating throughout. Both cottages have Wifi, a washing machine, garden and parking.

There is wonderful walking in the surrounding area and the footpath to the summit of Cairnsmore of Fleet (2,300 feet) is a short walk from the cottages. The area offers much for varied interests, both for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts and for those who enjoy exploring bustling market towns and quaint coastal villages.
