The Old Shop B&B

The Old Shop B & B is a mid-19th century former fisherman’s cottage nestled on the edge of the Solway Firth in Carsethorn, with uninterrupted sea views and direct access to a sandy beach. Visit Scotland 3-Star rated with a ‘Taste Our Best’ award-winning breakfast, expect a warm welcome and excellent hospitality from host Susan. Dogs are welcome.

There are 3 bedrooms, all featuring en suite facilities, central heating, TV, free Wifi, hairdryer, hospitality tray and either double or twin beds. Guests can also sit in the garden or enjoy the panoramic views from the beachside summer house. Our award-winning breakfast offers a choice of a full Scottish or vegetarian breakfast made from locally-produced ingredients and including homemade preserves.

For those who prefer self-catering, our newly refurbished Garden Room provides a stylish place to stay for up to 4 guests. It has an open plan living area with a fully-equipped kitchenette, Wifi, en suite double bedroom, twin room and has a private hot tub outside. There is on-site parking for all guests.
