Redcastle Cottages

Redcastle Cottages are 4 pet-friendly holiday homes offering self-catering accommodation in a scenic rural setting outside the Haugh of Urr near Castle Douglas. Nestled on a country estate, with many excellent local walks and cycle trails, there is also an on-site tennis court and drying room for outdoors equipment.

Steading 1 and 2 have been converted from the old stables and hayloft to create two 1-bedroomed apartments catering for 2 or 3 people. The ground floor apartment is wheelchair-friendly and has a double bedroom, walk-in shower and single sofa bed in the lounge. The upstairs apartment is accessed by a set of external stairs and has a twin room with foldaway bed in the bedroom and a shower room.

The Steading is the former cowshed which can comfortably sleep 5 guests in a double, a twin and a single room, and The Cottage has been converted from the servants’ quarters to create a homely place to stay for 5, with a double and a single bed in the main bedroom, another twin room and family bathroom. All properties have access to Wifi, a kitchen, car parking and garden.
