Gelston Castle Holidays would like to present a selection of self-catering holiday cottages on a family-run country estate, 3 miles south of Castle Douglas. Nestled in 4500 acres of grounds that stretch down to the beautiful Solway Coast, guests staying on the estate can use the various leisure facilities including a swimming pool, take part in activity weeks and explore the grounds.

There are 5 lovely courtyard cottages, renovated from the 19th century stable courtyard that can sleep between 4 and 8 guests, with exclusive bookings available for multiple families or groups of up to 30 people. Each has its own lounge, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, at least one double bedroom and twin room and bathroom. The newest cottage can sleep 8 in 4 bedrooms with partial en suite facilities in the main bedroom.

Kirkmirren Cottage, accommodating 4 guests, is separate from the other cottages, situated in its own secluded setting on the estate. This cottage has a sitting room, sun porch with seating, kitchen, dining room, a double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom and beautiful sun terrace outside. There is ample parking for all cottages with shared laundry facilities available. Guests can enjoy the outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, indoor games room or barbeque terrace.
