Vallum Lodge

Vallum Lodge is a welcoming bed and breakfast set within an acre of peaceful grounds on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The ‘vallum' (ditch built 2000 years ago as part of the Hadrians Wall fortifications) runs right through our back garden! Steel Rigg is only half a mile away and within easy reach are the Roman sites of Vindolanda, Housesteads and the Roman Army Museum at Carvoran.

The bedrooms are all on ground floor level, offering double or twin beds, en suite facilities, a TV, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is also The Snug for 2 with a double bed, en suite bathroom and a living area with fully-equipped kitchenette. A breakfast buffet is served in the morning, followed by hot dishes cooked-to-order. Packed lunches can also be provided. There is a friendly inn 200 metres along the road serving food and ales.
