Red Lion Inn Newbrough

The Red Lion of Newbrough is a charming 12th century former coaching inn with bed and breakfast rooms situated in the South Tyne Valley near Hexham. Located between the North Pennines and Northumberland National Park, the inn is ideal for holidaymakers, walkers, cyclists or business guests travelling to Newcastle.

Each of the 6 guest rooms have been decorated in a contemporary style to provide a comfortable place to stay. All have en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, a TV and tea / coffee-making tray. There are single, twin, double, family-sized and dog-friendly rooms. In the morning, a cooked breakfast will set you up for the day ahead.

Our lunch and dinner menu is seasonal, with locally-sourced game and fish dishes accompanied by vegetables grown in our garden. Private functions and business meetings are most welcome. There is free car parking and buses to Hexham with connecting services to Newcastle city centre, stop outside the inn.
