The House on the Props

Nestled on the edge of the quayside in the fishing village of Polperro is The House on the Props Restaurant and B & B. This quirky old building, with uninterrupted views along the harbour, offers the setting for great-tasting Cornish food in the restaurant and comfy bed and breakfast accommodation. Cassandra is a twin room with a harbour view; Props is a double room with a harbour view and Talland is a double with village views. All have en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, central heating, a flat screen TV, free Wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. A Full English breakfast is included, made using locally-sourced ingredients and served with pastries and homemade bread.

The restaurant and tea rooms have menus featuring local produce including fresh fish, with a selection available for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. The SW Coast Path runs right past the house and there is a sandy beach on the other side of the harbour walls. Car parking is available in the main village car park half a mile away, which guests can walk from, or catch the little tram which runs throughout the day.
