Gales of Llangollen

Gales Wine Bar, Hotel and Wine Shop is situated along a historic street just a few seconds from the High Street in the bustling town of Llangollen. A Georgian property with a wine bar, excellent food and selection of accommodation, there is also on-site parking available. The steam railway is a short hop over the bridge and there are scenic guided tours along the river.

There are 15 en suite bedrooms. All are in keeping with the historic character of the buildings, with 8 above the Wine Bar in a Georgian townhouse with many original features, and the remaining rooms in a much older timber-framed building across the driveway. These rooms have exposed beams, wattle and daub walls and all have original features. A hearty breakfast is included. There is also a 2-bedroomed cottage for 3 or 4 guests, featuring a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with either twin beds or a single bed.

As well as an extensive wine list, we carry a wide selection of other drinks including bottled lagers, ales and ciders, soft drinks and specialist spirits. Guests can also enjoy superb evening meals at Gales. Enjoy classic dishes such as steaks, burgers and ribs, with a menu of specials and options for vegetarians and vegans.
