Tal y Waen Cottages

Tal y Waen Cottages are located just a short drive out of the market town of Dolgellau, within unspoilt countryside and providing the perfect base from which to enjoy Snowdonia National Park. Both Owl and Buzzard Cottages are single storey, stone-built barn conversions sleeping up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms and a sofabed. A dog is welcome to stay in each on request.

Both cottages retain their historical charm, with exposed beams, and have been decorated to the highest modern standards. They come equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay and there is ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden area with barbecue. Tal y Waen is less than 2 miles from Dolgellau, which offers a selection of inns, restaurants, cafes and shops.

We are within easy reach of the Mawddach Estuary for walking, bird watching and pony trekking. There are sandy beaches, beautiful lakes, waterfalls and rivers in the area, as well as golf courses, places to fish, plus water sports at Bala Lake and mountain biking at Coed-y-Brenin. The area is also great for climbing. Barmouth is 8 miles away for traditional seaside fun.
