Station House & Porters Lodge

For a holiday with a difference, Glyndyfrdwy Station House and Porter’s Lodge are former 19th century railway buildings located along the heritage Llangollen Railway, offering self-catering accommodation for rail enthusiasts, families and outdoors enthusiasts. Nestled along the Dee River and surrounded by beautiful open countryside and with an occasional steam train passing by, this is an ideal holiday choice!

Both properties contain features from the original station coupled with amenities including Wifi, a TV, washing machine and well-equipped kitchen. The Station House can sleep 6 guests and has a lounge, kitchen, 2 king / twin bedrooms and a room with bunk beds, as well as a family bathroom and large garden. The Porter’s Lodge can accommodate 2 guests with a lounge, kitchen and twin bedroom. Outside there is a seating area that looks directly across to the platform.

Catch the trains from this rural station where the collection of locomotives will transport you back in time to the days of steam travel. Guests can also go on scenic walks and have a picnic or even try some paddle boarding or canoeing along the river. There is an inn a short walk away which serves food and drink if you get hungry after your travels. Pets are welcome.
