St Michael’s is a Grade II listed restaurant and bistro with rooms located in the pretty Cotswolds village of Painswick, near Stroud. With its boutique bedrooms and suites, a delicious food menu of dishes created from local produce and excellent hospitality, our guest reviews have warranted a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence!

All rooms are individual, with modern comforts including en suite facilities and underfloor heating, coupled with 17th century charm from the original architectural features. With 5 individually-designed and furnished rooms, choose from The Retro Suite or Bohemian Suite, The Art Deco Room, The Rococo Room or The Indian Room.

For the ultimate in relaxation, we can also arrange for a visiting masseuse to offer holistic treatments in the comfort of your own room. An award-winning breakfast is served in the morning, with food available throughout the day in our bar and bistro. Our mini farm shop is also open selling a variety of locally made fayre, arts and crafts.
