The Acorn Inn

The Acorn Inn is a 16th century former coaching inn located in Evershot. Full of charm, with original exposed wooden beams, oak panelled walls, open fires and even an old skittle alley, the inn was mentioned in the Thomas Hardy novel Tess of the D’Urbervilles! AA 4-Star rated and a winner of many awards, including Dorset Tourism Pub of the Year and a Top 25 Dog Friendly Pub, expect the highest standards of hospitality.

Choose from double, king size, 4 poster rooms or the stunning Evershot Suite in the eaves of the Inn, with a double and single bedroom, private lounge and bathroom. All of our 10 rooms are named after Thomas Hardy characters and offer a mix of classic and contemporary furnishings, with en suite facilities or a private bathroom, luxury toiletries, Wifi, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray.
