Another Place, The Lake is a luxurious country house hotel on the banks of Ullswater in the Lake District, with exquisite guest rooms, a bar, restaurant, pool, 18 acres of gardens, direct access to the lake and plenty of organised activities. The hotel is easily accessible, with the M6 only 10 minutes away, and there is ample parking.

Choose from our contemporary twin rooms, doubles, family-sized, suites and dog-friendly rooms, some of which have private balconies and lake views. There are two accessible ground floor bedrooms and cosy 2-bedroomed cottages for up to 5 guests, with a living area. Breakfast is self-service, with a wide choice including options for vegetarians.

The Living Space bar is our casual dining option with views of the lake and a crowd-pleasing menu offering pizzas, steaks and burgers. Rampsbeck Restaurant is a more formal dining experience with a 3-course seasonal menu influenced by the flavours of the local landscape.

Relax in the 20-metre pool, gym, hot tub or with a spa treatment. The Library has sofas, a fire, books and board games and is child-free after 6pm, or there is seating in the Living Space, as well as a lake-facing terrace. Outside, try open-water swimming, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing and archery.
