The Blue Lion

Welcome to The Blue Lion of East Whitten. A 18th century former shooting lodge with guest rooms, restaurant and pub situated in this village in the Yorkshire Dales near Leyburn, we are listed in the Good Hotel Guide 2019, and offer a mix of rustic charm and modern elegance coupled with excellent facilities.

The bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style with a choice of double rooms in the main inn, or the Superior Courtyard Rooms in the converted stables. All rooms have their own en suite facilities and refreshment tray. Some bedrooms allow dogs.

The bar has a cosy log fire and sturdy oak tables where you can relax and enjoy tasty cuisine which is laid bare on our chalked up menu boards. The bar serves a range of drinks from local real ales to vintage wines that can be enjoyed inside or outside in the sunshine.
