Guy Fawkes Inn

Guy Fawkes Inn provides a charming place to stay in the oldest area of York, along Petergate. Dating back to medieval times, the inn is famous for being the birthplace of Guy Fawkes himself. Today, guests can stay in comfortable and elegant AA 4-Star rated guest rooms, sample a range of local ales or dine in the AA Rosette awarded restaurant.

Each of our 13 rooms have a unique character. The Belfry Suite is situated on the top floor with a vaulted ceiling, exposed wooden beams, double bedroom, en suite bathroom and private TV lounge. Guests can also choose a 4-Poster Room, Executive or Deluxe Double. All have en suite facilities, luxurious toiletries, TV, Wifi, hairdryer, ironing equipment and hospitality tray. Some have uninterrupted views across to York Minster.

The award-winning restaurant offers a unique dining experience with candles and gas lamps, wooden floors and a lunch and dinner menu inspired by British favourites, with a modern twist.
