Mount Edgcombe

Mount Edgcombe is a charming, luxurious Victorian bed and breakfast situated in a quiet location in Torquay, with car parking, just 10-minutes walk from the town centre. Hosts Joanne and Jamie offer very high standards of guest service, indicated by their Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2016.

There are 9 en-suite bedrooms, from a smaller twin room, to double rooms, and even a larger kingsize bedroom with a whirlpool bath and large walk-in shower. We have some rooms on the ground floor for those guests with access needs. All rooms are immaculately presented with comfortable beds, high-quality linen and free Wifi connectivity. Mount Edgcombe has a large guest lounge, bar, dining room overlooking our courtyard, and we are able to offer evening meals between March and September. Breakfast encompasses a range of buffet options or a hearty Full English. We are happy to cater for a range of dietary requirements.

Torquay in South Devon is a beautiful English seaside town, famed for its beaches and palm trees. It is a Global Geopark. Getting out on the water is what our visitors love to do, and there is a great selection of boat trips and watersports to be found. Torquay is the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie, and the whole resort is the location for a packed programme of all year events and festivals including the annual Agatha Christie Festival. Surrounded by stunning coast and countryside, Torquay and its nearby towns offer fantastic all year-round activities and things to do.
