The Stables at Cross Butts

The Stables at Cross Butts is an award-winning restaurant with rooms in a former 17th farmstead situated on the outskirts of Whitby. Visit England 4-Star Silver rated with a Breakfast Award, and a former winner of the Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year, our guests are guaranteed an enjoyable experience.

The guest rooms are nestled around a central courtyard and were beautifully converted from the original stable block. Each room has its own entrance and is equipped with a locally-handmade mattress, en suite facilities, TV and hospitality tray. There are ground floor double rooms, gallery rooms with seating area and bedrooms in the mezzanine area; as well as 4-poster rooms, and the elegant Stag Lodge with its private hot tub and sauna.

A delicious breakfast is served in the morning and we can also offer half board rates if preferred. The restaurant is open throughout the day where all food is freshly produced in our kitchens using the best of locally-sourced fare. Our menus are available to view online. There is also a farm shop, gift shop and we have a license to hold civil ceremonies or special events.
