The Castle by the Sea

The Castle by the Sea is a family-owned hotel situated below the ruins of 12th century Scarborough Castle. Offering breath-taking views across the bay and along the coastline, it is one of the most scenic places to stay in this popular North Yorkshire seaside town. As well as excellent rooms, there is a licenced guest lounge, car parking and secure lock-up for bikes.

All bedrooms offer a mix of classic and contemporary furnishings. They all have their own en suite facilities, Freeview TV, hairdryer and beverage tray. There are rooms with sea views, romantic 4-poster rooms and dog-friendly rooms available. For a special treat, chocolates and champagne can be arranged if required. Breakfast is served in the spacious dining room with its grand fireplace or in the conservatory. Packed lunches and a 3-course evening meal can also be provided.
