There is a hotel bar, a cafe and bakery in the village, plus 2 natural springs and a harbour. The stone sea walls and jetty curve round the beach which is great for rock pooling, fossil hunting, sandcastle building and walking. The North York Moors on the doorstep also provides the ideal setting for all outdoors pursuits.
