The Old Waiting Rooms

For a holiday with a difference, come and stay at The Old Waiting Rooms, situated just 2 miles outside the popular resort of Filey. Lovingly renovated from part of the old Victorian Hummanby Station, today it offers a well-appointed self-catering holiday home for 2 people. With many of the original features of the station remaining, it is perfect for railway enthusiasts!

The entrance is on the southbound platform which leads into the former ladies waiting room, now the kitchen. The old main waiting room has been transformed into a cosy living and sleeping area with a king size double bed, leather armchairs, original fireplace and views to the platform where you can watch the trains going past. The old WCs are now a modern bathroom. There is also allocated car parking outside.

There is a regular train service to Scarborough and Hull which stop at the station and lots of excellent walks and cycleways to explore in and around this area of North Yorkshire. Filey has a beautiful beach, shops and restaurants, with the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway a short drive away. Dogs are also welcome at The Old Waiting Rooms.
