The Old Coastguard

The Old Coastguard is a seaside hotel in Mousehole commanding glorious views to St. Michael's Mount and the Lizard, with a dining room and outside terrace within a tropical garden that slopes down to the harbour wall. Guests will also find a well-stocked bar with local ales, great food featuring fresh Cornish produce and wonderfully comfortable guest accommodation. Families and dogs are welcome.

All of our 15 guest bedrooms are well appointed and have sea views, en suite bathrooms; most with baths and the others with showers. Most rooms have a balcony. In each room, guests will find Roberts Radios, toiletries from Bramley Products, proper coffee and Cornish tea, soft linen and books. If you require a more peaceful room, please enquire. After a sound night’s sleep, choose from a menu of breakfast options including a cooked Cornish Breakfast, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, fruit, local yoghurts, homemade muesli, Cornish apple juice from Polgoon and home-made soda bread for you to make your own toast. Special diets are happily accommodated. We are listed in The Good Food Guide, the red Michelin Guide, Hardens and have a 2018 Gold Award from Taste of the West.
