Walpole Bay Hotel

Walpole Bay Hotel and Museum is a beautiful Edwardian building situated near the seafront in Cliftonville, Margate. Awarded a Visit England 3-Star rating, this historic Margate hotel was built for discerning guests in 1914, extended in 1927 and is now being lovingly restored to her former glory by the Bishop family. We are family and pet-friendly.

All guest rooms vary in style and layout. We have traditional rooms with classic furnishings and modern rooms with contemporary decor. There are twin, double, family-sized and rooms with 4-poster beds, each offering en suite facilities, hairdryer, ironing equipment and beverage tray. Superior Rooms also have a seating area and balcony.

Our Restaurant, Bar Lounge and Terrace is open each day serving delicious homecooked foods. We also have hot and cold snacks available till 9pm daily. Sunday lunches are very popular, where guests are serenaded by music played on the 1908 pianola. This hotel can also cater for wedding receptions, family occasions and parties.
