St. Ives is an old market town in Cambridgeshire. There are regular markets held every Monday and Friday, large Bank Holiday markets and an award winning Farmer’s Market held on the first and third Saturday of each month. This charming town offers unique boat cruises on the Great Ouse River from the Quay at The Old Riverport. Discover the Cambridgeshire countryside on this delightful part of the river. A focal point is the splendid 15th Century Bridge and chapel over the river, one of only three such surviving in England. You can also discover a fascinating heritage along the waterfront, alleyways and market place, and a great range of independent shops throughout the town. St. Ives has many restaurants and cafes, fine buildings and regular town events including the illuminated boat parade and a Jazz and Blues Festival. Hemingford Meadow overlooks the town. Also accessed from the town, near the Grade I listed parish church of All Saints, is Holt Island Nature Reserve.
