Chippenham is a village in East Cambridgeshire. This charming village is an excellent location for sightseeing in East Anglia. It is very close to the border with Suffolk. The village has a traditional pub, The Tharp Arms, which serves food and real ales. There is also an interesting church in the village; St Margaret’s. Chippenham Park is an estate with gardens notable for vast swathes of snowdrops and aconites in late winter followed by a superb spring show of daffodils, hellebores, spring bulbs and blossoms. The gardens are open at selected times and there is a tearoom. Chippenham Fen, between the village of Chippenham and the town of Fordham, is one of the best remaining areas of undrained, semi-natural fen in Europe. This is a National Nature Reserve and SSSI. Access to the wood involves a pleasant walk along a well-signed footpath.
