Woodhall Spa is a thriving village on the southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, 6 miles south-west of Horncastle and 15 miles east-south-east of Lincoln. Woodhall Spa is set amidst magnificent pine woods. Regarded as one of Lincolnshire's most attractive villages, Woodhall Spa is famous for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and is the perfect location for a short break or holiday. The village is swathed in history too, from the hay day of the Spa in Victorian times, through to the Second World War when 617 Squadron, known as The Dambusters, were based here. The village has a variety of attractions including two top class golf courses, the unique Kinema in the Woods, Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum packed with intriguing stories and displays, Jubilee Park outdoor heated swimming pool and gardens, plus several aviation heritage sites associated with 617 Squadron.
